The Nature Coast State Trail lies along the western boundary of our community in Fanning Springs and offers 30 paved trail miles, traveling form the city of Trenton to Cross City and then south to Chiefland. Fanning Springs State ParkFanning Springs State Park 
Located on the east bank of the historic Suwannee River in Levy County, this inviting source of cool, clear water has drawn people for thousands of years. Many species of wildlife, such as the otter and the currently endangered West Indian manatee, have used the spring far longer.

Fanning Springs is one of Florida's first-magnitude springs, releasing approximately 69 million gallons of water per day. The water has a constant temperature of about 72 degrees.

Fanning Springs State Park is managed by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection as one of Florida's premier parks. In addition to the breathtaking spring and river access, the park offers picnic pavilions, a playground, a volleyball court, a hiking trail, and a Picnic in Fanning Springs State Parksoftball field. A newly-completed boardwalk winds around the spring area, ending in a covered gazebo at the river's edge.
