I would like to share with you why The Riverwalk is such a wonderful place to live. My name is Davey Padot and the land that Riverwalk sits on has been in our family for five generations. It started out as a family farm and five generations later is now a beautiful community, unique in Florida. My father developed the Riverwalk through the eyes of my great grandmother and great grandfather who loved to farm and teach about the importance of preserving and living with nature and not destroying it. My father told me that as a little boy he would sit on the farm house porch in his great grandmother's lap and hear her talk about her vision for the farm in the future. She said many people would be moving here in the future. She wouldn't see it but she hoped that my father would honor her wishes that all the trees would not be cut down especially in the big hammock. She said "I just hope they love living here as much as your Granddaddy and I have." It always broke my Dad's heart to think that his grandmother and grandfather would not live to see The Riverwalk developed.

Well, Great grandmother and Great grandfather are gone now just like she said and my dad grew up to be a farmer just like they were, but their dream and vision never died but continued to live in my Dad's heart. So in honor of his grandparents (Thomas Lanier and Cecily Emily Johnson) he developed The Riverwalk of Fanning Springs. Our hope is still the same as my great grandmother's hope was; that you will love living here as much as they did. (Their trees are still here).

As you can see this is more than a job to me. It is my love and my passion helping people find a home and become part of The Riverwalk family and lifestyle.
